The Do’s and Don’ts of Wedding Gifting

January 3, 2022

< back to blog home

Whether it’s for wedding party gifts, buying engagement presents, or even just finding the right present for family and friends, there can be a lot of pressure on gift-giving. There’s a tricky balance between finding something useful and sentimental that also won’t break the bank.  When it comes to gifting for weddings, you may find yourself asking:

  • What are practical items for wedding party presents?
  • Should I have wedding welcome gift bags?
  • How do I DIY wedding party presents?
  • How much should I spend on wedding favors?

If you're reading this post when the episode originally aired, the holiday season just ended, so you can know how stressful it can be to purchase gifts for everyone on your list. Rightfully so! No one wants to give OR receive an in-genuine or impractical present, especially when it comes to weddings.  From wedding party proposals, to wedding welcome bags, to even party favors, there is a lot to unpack.   Of course, you want everyone to be happy with what they receive, without it costing you a fortune!

Episode 47: The Do's and Don'ts of Wedding Party Gifts

Today we’re tackling the Do's and Don'ts of Wedding Gifting.  From wedding party proposals, to welcome gifts, to wedding favors, to wedding party gifts, to DIYing presents, we’re talking about it all.

If you’re reading this blog post in January, the holidays just ended and you’re probably still recovering from having to do all that gift shopping! You know that picking out the perfect gifts is no easy feat.

In order to help you all find (or make) practical and fun presents for your wedding – whether for your guests or your wedding party, I invited my favorite gift-giving expert, Alexandra Puccini of Lavender and Pine Gifting

I work with Alexandra to put together my client welcome gifts and she’s amazing! When I started out, I did it on my own, and it definitely took a year of doing it all, sourcing the boxing, the tissue, each product that went into the box, the ribbon, and the endless trips to the post office for me to realize I should outsource it to someone else.

Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE gifting. It’s definitely one of my love languages, which is why I do it often for my clients, but I also know I should spend that time either working on stuff for my clients or in my business.

And by outsourcing it to an expert, I’m able to support a fellow female entrepreneur, who’s much better at it than I am anyway, so everyone wins!

After coming up short in her Pinterest search, she realized there was a need for elevated and timeless gifting with beautiful packaging that has since turned into a successful business serving clients and customers worldwide!
