about the event
Mallory and Bill were married in the summer, at one of the top wedding venues in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York: The Lake House on Canandaigua. I might be a little biased, but Canandaigua Lake is a special place. We spend almost weekend in the summer (when I don't have a wedding) on Canandaigua Lake with our family so the lake is very meaningful to me. Naturally, I love when couples come to me with visions of a destination wedding weekend in such a truly magical place.
Mallory and Bill grew up on the water. Bill in Michigan and Mallory in the Finger Lakes. Their cheerful summer color palette was inspired by a sunrise on the lake. Shades of cream, nude, and yellow, and light peach represented the sky and Mallory's light personality. Accents of teal and blue represent the water and how Bill keeps them grounded.
To infuse the day with their personalities, we incorporated a touch of sparkle and also some fish imagery. Bill proposed to Mallory while they were fishing and we thought it was only fitting to be part of the day. Mallory was also very excited for their floral runners and an installation of greenery and twinkling lights over the dance floor.
Other fun touches include Mallory's family's ice cream for dessert and the Lebanese Dabke dance. This day with these families will forever be a favorite.

She’s the most organized, knowledgeable, helpful person I’ve ever met! My mom said during the planning process “when I count my blessings, I count Desiree twice.” Even my husband couldn’t stop talking about how amazing Desiree and her team were and how it was worth the investment. Thanks for making it the best day ever!
“Hiring Desiree was the best decision we made for our wedding.”
