about the event

Becca and Geoff’s wedding weekend at the Inns of Aurora was inspired by the places, traditions, and people that have shaped their story. Rooted in their shared love of the outdoors, the design felt natural yet elevated, balancing organic details with the formality of the occasion.

Their palette carried meaning throughout the celebration. Blush, mauve, and soft purple florals added warmth and depth, with mauve incorporated in honor of Becca’s late grandmother. Layered greens reflected their connection to nature, while shades of blue echoed the lake and added texture across the design. Earth tones and leather details introduced contrast and referenced Becca’s love of horseback riding and the feeling of time spent hiking together.

Personal details appeared throughout the experience. Custom paper illustrations referenced meaningful places and memories, while a seating chart inspired by their favorite hiking trails transformed a practical moment into an immersive design feature.

The weekend began with a lakeside welcome gathering and culminated in a ceremony beneath a handmade chuppah crafted by Geoff and his father using wood from Geoff’s childhood home and draped in family tallitot. Family traditions carried throughout the celebration, from loved ones performing Becca’s processional to closing the evening with a family sing-along, a tradition that has long been part of their family celebrations.

From start to finish, the cohesiveness of the entire weekend was noticed and admired by all of our guests. Every vendor felt like family, and Verve did an unbelievable job of making the wedding feel so us. One guest told us that sitting in front of the chuppah felt like they had walked into our save the date. Looking back at videos from the weekend, all we see are smiling and laughing faces at every moment.

"It felt like we were walking into our save the date."

Blush, mauve, taupe, and deep purple created a layered floral palette, with mauve incorporated to honor Becca’s late grandmother.
