Ashley and David's luxurious fall Inns of Aurora wedding happened on the most stunning late October day. Their wedding design was inspired by their love of art and nature, combining their personal tastes that were both historical and contemporary.
For their invitation suite, vintage postage stamps paid homage to Ashley's childhood home in Hawaii and their love of gardening. Inside, guests found their invitation tucked into a pocket decorated with blindpressed ginkgo leaves and tied with a velvet ribbon.
During the ceremony, members of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra played classical pieces while Ashley walked down the aisle in a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown.
At cocktail hour, guests enjoyed seasonal signature drinks, including a Maple Cider Bourbon Smash and a Cinnamon Roll Martini. For their escort card display, we incorporated the couples' love of reading with bookmarks that doubled as favors. On the right side, a large scroll depicted a romantic quote by one of Ashley's favorite authors, J. R. R. Tolkien.
Ashley and David's dinner reception design included neutral creams, subtle peaches, pops of maroon and rose. Dark teal and blue added depth to represent the Finger Lakes while gold accents added formality. For the table numbers, we continued our reading theme and used gold picks hand painted with numbers. Every detail had a purpose.
For the sweet finish, the couple served multiple wedding cakes, including one decorated with gold gingko leaves that tied into their design.
