And that’s a wrap for today’s episode on how to maximize your points to plan the ultimate wedding honeymoon. I hope you enjoyed my conversation with Zach today. He gave us so many helpful tips on what kinds of credit cards and loyalty programs would work best depending on your situation.
Also, I did want to reiterate what he said about credit card responsibility. Please make sure you only take on credit cards if you’re able to pay them off quickly. I have to thank my husband for being so vocal to me about making sure to pay off the entire balance each month. If you’re carrying a balance, it’s probably going to wipe out any savings you earn in cash back or hotel and airfare.
Also, as a small business owner, it’s more challenging for me to accept credit card payments because of the fees the credit card companies charge. But if this is important to you, I don’t think it hurts to ask. If you’re willing to pay for some of the fees that the business incurs, it might be worth it to you because of the rewards points you’re earning.
