This is easily my favorite place for nice gifts in Rochester, New York! In addition to custom wedding & event floral design, the gorgeous store carries everything you could ever need. From mini succulents for the plant lady in your life, to locally produced stationery, and even scarves by Louelle Studio. But one of my favorite items? The candles by Skeem Design!

Beautiful Scents

These indie candles are boutique branded, and are always gorgeous to display. These scented candles fill up your home with delicious scents, all made in the USA. My favorite scent is the White Tea Thyme print block candle. It smells like what a garden in heaven would smell like to me. I love the mix of tea leaves, thymes, and hints of jasmine and lemon. They also have match cloches, which I’m seeing everywhere now, including Oprah's list of Favorite Things for 2019! If Oprah loves has it on her best gifts list, you know you'll love it!

Custom Calligraphy

Located right here in Upstate New York, Rachel was one of the first calligraphers I discovered in New York. Her work is impeccable. Not only does she make gorgeous works of art for your wedding, but you can get virtually anything personalized to be given as gifts. My favorites are the “Home” in New York ornaments, dog bone ornaments for fur parents, and the city ornaments. Her shop also carries a variety of coffee mugs, front door mats, and wooden signs. These are the perfect gifts for the newlywed couple in your life!

Fine Art from Corinne Fallone

Corinne Fallone is a full-time fine artist and resident of Rochester, New York. Fallone paints vibrant florals and landscapes to inspire and lift the spirits of those around her. Not only does she create gorgeous paintings and commissions, she also live paints at weddings and events. Live artists during weddings are one of my favorite wedding trends! During the holidays she paints Christmas ornaments. And if you’re lucky, she’ll still have some available when you place an order. I love how they’re all just so happy and vibrant. Perfect for the season!

Best Floral Designs

For the most unique and beautiful floral designs in the Hudson Valley, you need to check out Hops Petunia. They specialize in wild arrangements for weddings, events, and carry thoughtful gifts in store. I love their selection of fragrances and pampering products. But they also have a great collection of ceramics, like this sophisticated yet playful ball vase from Object Enthusiast.

Favorite Home Store

With a location in Hudson Valley, and NYC, Hawkins is one of my favorite home goods stores. They have luxurious, accessible, responsibly sourced goods for your entire home. From stonewashed linen bedding to handmade wooden spoons, they have it all! Gifts from here can also make the perfect gift for your wedding party, or even as a gift for your friend getting married! Newlywed couples will love showing off any piece from their store. I personally love their uni candlestick holders, and colored ornaments. But my favorite? The ‘Naked' Louise Vases, which come in gold and brass for that perfect pop of metallic.

Valley Variety is not your old-fashioned variety store. They offer a welcoming environment in which to explore a selection of beautifully designed lifestyle products, fine art, and home furnishings.
