1 – Ceremony

• Ceremony Seating
  • Does the venue come with seating? Or will you need to rent chairs? I would say a lot of this is also dependent on whether or not you will be hosting people outside. 
• Arbor
  • You will probably discuss this with your florist, and typically they will help you with this, as well!
• Easel for signage
  • In addition to your welcome sign, some couples like to have a sign that designates where people sit. 
• Drink Station
  • Maybe a nice punch or a champagne cocktail, but I'm seeing more and more people having a little station for drinks right as their guests walk in.  

 2- Tabletop

• Tables and Chair
  • Make sure you account for cocktail hour, the dinner, and any ansillary, tables and chairs. 
• Linens 
  • If you are opting to use the linens your venue provides, be sure to double check the color and the length (how far they go down to the table).  Personally I am just not a huge fan of the halfway down linen look. 
• Flatware
  • Based on the menu of your ceremony, I would suggest asking the caterer what utensils you will ACTUALLY need. 
• Glassware
  • Water-glass, Wine Glass, maybe champagne flute? Just pieces to keep in mind depending what you are planning to serve. 
• China
  • Make sure you know how many courses you need plates for!

 3- Lounge and Furniture

I won't go too in depth in explaining these just because it is a bit self explanatory, but I would recommend asking for a rug underneath the whole set up to bring it up together.  Will you have any decorative pieces to spruce the environment up? Maybe a guest book, flowers, votives, etc etc. Something to think about!

• Couches
• Coffee Table 
• Rugs
• Pillows
• Backdrop 

 4- Equipment

• Catering Kitchen needs – tent, stove, grills, tables for prep, serving dishes and utensils, trays for passing
  • Your caterer is going to need a tent to work out of. You might want to even double check who is providing the charcoal! Be sure to allocate for these pieces into your budget. 
• Kitchen tent
  • Only if the venue does not have their own kitchen set up!
• Power
  • This is typically if you are hosting your event at your house. Talk with your caterer/DJ/event company to see if you will need to provide power, because I do not recommend plugging everything into an outlet out of your house. 
• Lighting – bistro lights, chandeliers, perimeter lights
  • Don't just focus on where the dinner is! If you are having something outdoors, think of what lighting your guests will need to walk to driveways, bathrooms, etc etc.
