about the event
Caroline and Ben's wedding weekend was inspired by a visit to the Mediterranean. The weekend began with a welcome party at Taylor House. Inspired by the local pottery and the Amalfi Coast, the fresh design incorporated deep orange and blue.
The bride’s family has Italian roots and Ben’s family hails from Australia, so the fresh, summery aesthetic was a perfect combination of both their heritages.
Cheerful shades of lemon, soft peach and blood orange represented the vibrant culture of Italy. Botanical greenery at the ceremony and in the table runners were reminiscent of olive leaves and Cyprus trees. Bright Aegean blue added depth and mimicked the Mediterranean Sea. We incorporated rattan, wood, woven elements and scalloped edges to keep it light, summery, and fresh.

We chose Verve because of their experience and Desirée was our venue's favorite planner. I didn't go into wedding planning thinking that we needed a planner, but after a few days, I knew I was in over my head. We both have busy careers, but because of Desirée, I spent only 20 hours planning the wedding and the day was everything I dreamed of. She thought of everything. We received many compliments on how beautiful our day was. At the wedding, I knew Desirée and her team would handle everything. This meant I could focus on what truly mattered: spending time with friends and family.
"Book her now! Because of Desirée, I could focus on what truly mattered."
The bride selected rattan chargers, a playful blue faceplate, personalized menus, a textured rattan table number, and an herbal greenery runner
